Kutticom
Association for social development suhruth sadan and collaborated with child development centre of Samaritan hospital, Pazhanganad for arranging kutticom for age group of 5-9. Intension of this program was early identification and intervention for children with special needs often leads to better behavior and performance. Some children may have difficultiesin learning at a particular time and they may require short term assistance. CDC staffs and Sr Shyja SD observed them through different activities like ball passing games, setting colors, drawing , group activities, skills of reading and writing, interactivity organization, leadership skills of kids. Team observed children through these activities and discussed their problems, needs and qualities totheir parents. 40 children participated .

Mango Showers 2k23
On account of summer vacation, ASDSS initiated summer camp mango showers from april 18-21. Its included self deffence classes, vedic maths, nature walk, group activities, awareness programs games etc. Ward member joy kaniyodickal inaugurated program. ASDSS Secretary Sr. Divya mundackal SD delivered greetingsto the program. Brother Stephin and Brother John coordinate group activities and games. Civil police officer Sindhu, MK Viji KS, Ambili from aluva women cell handled self defence session and gave practical class. Second day conducted vedic maths eith the collaboration of grow wings academy. Third day planned group wise nature walk and planted saplings. Also a parent session conducted for the parents by Dr Jisha mery with the topic of screen addiction and parenting. After three days of camp arranged a one day trip for them to malayattur kaprikad and mahaganithottam.
One Day Workshop for Children at Vallam
SD covent Vallam and ASDSS Collectively organized a one day workshop for children in age group 10-17 at St. Jude church auditorium on 06-05-2023. The program started sharp 10.00am with prayer song. After inauguration function social work trainees Christy Sobi and Saphalya handled a session on the topic of Drug abuse and addictives. The session included stories gaems, competitions, and interactions.Social work staffs and trainees devided them into four groups and gave some games and activities inorder to build several skills like leadership and teamwork and communication. The program ended with prize distribution.
Theatre Workshop
ASDSS organized theatre workshop on 8th may 2023 focussing the children age group of 10 years to 17 years. Inauguration ceremony done by Saijith N sasidharan, assistant professor of department of social work, Christ college Iringalakuda. Firstly thre was an ice breaking session which was done inorder to help children to relieve inhibition or tension. Therefor Saijth sir set a healing therapy which transformed their negative energy into certain smell, taste, and emotion. Then there was an neurolinguastic activity in which changes childrens thought and behaviours to help achieve desired outcomes for them.
A spot dance competition was conducted instantly for the children inorder to reduce stage fear. Second day Sajith sir assigned to make a story based on some particular words. Also spot mime and skit arranged by students. Last day, children were divided I to two groups. They practiced it according to the script. After three days of workshop, they improved tgeir confidence level and way of expression. Sr Divya Mundackal Distributed Certificates.
“Accept and Respect Others” – Sreet Play
Koottu enviorment club members was performed street play at Aluva Private Stand, SOS Village in Chunangamveli, and Choondy, addressing the crucial theme of accepting and respecting others while shedding light on contemporary issues in Kerala. The young actors, with their enthusiastic and impactful portrayal, highlighted the importance of unity and empathy in today’s society. They incorporated current issues with the audience. This thought-provoking performance served as a reminder to embrace diversity and foster a spirit of mutual respect amidst the challenges faced by the people of Kerala.
Santhwanam - Education Support Program
Santhwanam-education support program is an educational fund distribution for non-affected children of HIV parents. The program focuses on reducing the stigma towards HIV and to make sure that the children’s are accessible to basic rights including education. On every three months ASDSS provide financial support to the children and distributes kits during occasions like Onam & Christmas celebrations.
The organization also conducts awareness classes to improve the social and personal life of the beneficiaries and keeps a good relationship with the families.
