Suhruth Loom Arts
Suhruth Loom Arts was established in the year 2021 as an Stitching unit for Native women of Aluva. The entity was inaugurated by St. Mary’s Provincial Superior Mother Raicy in the presence of Angamaly Archdiocese Bishop Mar Thomas Chakiath and Choondy St. Pius X Church Fr. Baiju Edassery.
Suhruth Loom Arts is intended to provide employment to women who are unemployed and living in underprivileged conditions. SLA also enhances the skills and talents of the staff by providing training in different sections. SLA is also happy to have differently abled women as staff with high skills and talents in this field. This employment provides them with enthusiasm and self-esteem. Suhruth Loom Arts in conjunction with ASDSS conducts different days celebrations and activities for staff to have a mental refreshment.

Widow Gathering
Gathering of widows of choondi,chunangamveli and premises was held on 12/11.22 at suhruth sadan. Fr. Augustin Kalleeli who is a professor of Mangalapuzha seminary and former family apostolate director inaugurated the program. Ms. Shanti Biju, Administrator of Naipunnya International campus led a productive and positive session for Widows. Fr. Augustine Kaleeli delivered an interactive session. The program helped to ventilate the feelings of the attendees. Star of the day was selected and was presented with a gift. ASDSS Secretary

Republic Day Celebration
Republic day is the day india marks and celebrates the date on which the constitution of india came into effect on 26 january 1950. ASDSS celebrates republic day with staffs on suhruth loom arts. Secretary Sr Divya Mundackal Delivered message of importance of the secularism and unity. Then Ramya Das who is the project coordinator of ASDSS shared her experience of republic parade camp.
Women’s Day Celebration
In celebration of Women’s Day, competitions conducted for the talented staffs of Suhruth Loom Arts. This event was a heartfelt tribute to the remarkable women who contribute their skills and passion to our nation. Through an array of activities, discussions, we celebrated their achievements and highlighted the invaluable role they play in shaping our success. It was a day filled with empowerment, appreciation, and solidarity, reminding us all of the importance of supporting and uplifting the women in our workforce. Suhruth Loom Arts recognizes and honors the women who continue to inspire us with their creativity and commitment.
Awareness Class About Breast Cancer and Menopause
Association for social development suhruthsadan and kudumbasree keezhmadu panchayat togetherly conducted awarenss class for women and elders about breast cancer and menopause. Session handled by Sr Joice Mariya, Vice principal of carmel college of nursing, Aluva. Social work trainee miss Parvathy Ravikumar delivered the welcome speech. Inaugural address was delivered by CDS Chairperson Rasiya. Vote of thanks delivered by Ms Cripseena Sebastian. After session, there was a free medical checkup by appolo pharmacy. The checkup included blood pressure , sugar level, hand grip test and diet counseling. The program ended at 5 pmwith refreshment.
