Pakal Veed
The reopening ceremony of pakal Veedu on March 1 2024 was a memorable event filled with inside the full sections and engaging activities. The program officer, Sr. Ancy Maniyamkot SD welcomed chief guest from Arike palliative care Mr Krishna Kumar Mr Roney and Mrs Angel. Mr Krishnakumar’s session on healthy aging and common diseases particularly dementia provided valuable information to the participants. Then he handover the session to Mr. Rony shared the importance of palliative care and conducted an ice breaking session that helped the audience to understand the significant of caring for elderly parents. Miss Angel then led interactive games and activities fostering a sense of community among the pakal veed members. The section were wrapped up by Mr Krishna Kumar. Jeffin an intern from santhigiri college who delivered vote of thanks. Community social worker Maria Babu and project Coordinator Aleena Thomas interacted with the members of pakal Veedu. After having Lunch, the interns organised fun activities and just fin shared his experience but the grandparents creating a warm and inclusive atmosphere the reopening day concluded at 3:00 p.m. leaving a lasting in that on those present.
