Pakal Veed
The ASDSS Conducted a Cancer awareness program at pakal Veedu on 13th February 2024 Community. Commencing at 2.30 pm, the event featured a registration at 3pm, followed by a talk from Dr Aswin joy a medical haematologist and oncologist from Rajagiri hospital. Dr Aswin joy discussed early stage cancer identification symptoms, various cancer types and risk groups. Participants gained insights into treatment procedure for different cancer stages. Emphasizing preventive lifestyles, the talk concluded at 3:20pm. ASDSS secretary Sr Divya Mundackal SD, program officer sister Ancy Maniyamkot, project coordinator Aleena Thomas community social worker Mariya Babu and internship trainee Koshy puthenpurakkal (BSW Mar Elias college, kottappady) were present. A brief game session for the elderly followed the talk a meeting to discuss future pakal Veedu operations occurred under the supervision of ASDSS officials, concluding at 4pm. Refreshments were provided.
