The summer camp organised by the Association for Social Development Suhruth Sadan (ASDSS) was inaugurated by Sri. Joy Kanniyodickal, the ward member, on May 7, 2025, at 9:30 AM, following the registration of 110 children aged 5 to 16. The inaugural ceremony included a welcome speech by Sr. Ancy Maniyamkot SD, Secretary of ASDSS, followed by a presidential address from Sr. Anisha SD, President of ASDSS. Sri. Shyjan (Sub-Inspector) and Sri. Thalhat (Additional Sub-Inspector) from Edathala Police Station also delivered inaugural addresses and shared their experiences. After the inauguration, the children were divided into four groups, with group activities conducted by Br. Robin and Br. Ajay. Various activities and games occurred throughout the day, concluding with an evaluation session outdoor treasure hunt that allowed the children to explore and appreciate nature. A motivational talk led by Sri. Jees P. Paul, Manager of the Environmental Division of Sahrudaya. He presented environmental concepts and encouraged the children for environment protection through cartoons. And the presence and speech delivered by Mother Raisy created a enthusiastic environment.
In the afternoon, the children had an observation visit to the Fire Station in Aluva, where officers. briefed the children on fire forces’ functions, procedures etc.
On the last day, May 10, 2025, a tour was held to several notable locations, including the Injathotti Hanging Bridge,the Boothathaan Kettu Dam and park, and the Kodanad Elephant Training Centre (Abhayaranyam Kaprikkad).

Association for social Development organized a one day program for elders.

Tribal visit
As part of Abhyudaya tribal project, ASDSS visited Anchuruli settlement of Idukki district.The primary purpose of the visit was to gain deeper knowledge,unique lifestyle, culture and challenges faced by the tribal community. The Visit aim to identify their needs, assess the difficulties they encounter in their daily lives,and analyse how their way of living differs from other communities.

A successful blood donation camp was held at Bharat Mata College of legal studies, organized by the Association for social Development Subruth satan (ASDSS) in collaboration with Rajagiri hospital, This initiative was led by the social work Interns of ASDSS and the Blood donor’s club of BSOL. The event saw a significant participation from students, faculty with the aim of promoting the importance of voluntary blood donation. 28 participants donated their blood on the event.

On November 20th, a breast cancer awareness class and screening test was conducted in collobration with Rajaghiri hospital Aluva. The awarness session was handleded by Dr. Amurtha CT ( Dep. Community oncology Rajaghiri Hospital ). The 40 number of womens are participated in the class. Moreover, all women’s are attended the screening test done by the doctor.

Association for social developments in organised a laughing therapy class on world happiness day observation for the elderly people at pakal veed. The class was led by Dr Jisha Mary homeopathy doctor and psychologist. She engaged the audience with a mixture of songs, meditation, awareness class and sharing experience. The laughter exercise was very effective for elderly people.

The reopening ceremony of pakal Veedu on March 1 2024 was a memorable event filled with inside the full sections and engaging activities. The program officer, Sr. Ancy Maniyamkot SD welcomed chief guest from Arike palliative care Mr Krishna Kumar Mr Roney and Mrs Angel. Mr Krishnakumar’s session on healthy aging and common diseases particularly dementia provided valuable information to the participants.

The ASDSS Conducted a Cancer awareness program at pakal Veedu on 13th February 2024 Community. Commencing at 2.30 pm, the event featured a registration at 3pm, followed by a talk from Dr Aswin joy a medical haematologist and oncologist from Rajagiri hospital. Dr Aswin joy discussed early stage cancer identification symptoms, various cancer types and risk groups.

Public library is one of the dream projects in order to develop reading habits among community people, the Inaugural ceremony of the Suhruth Public Library held on 25th August 2023 the inaugural Ceremony begins with Prayer Song and welcome speech delivered by Rev Sr Josna (Provincial Councillor and ASDSS president) Presidential speech by Rev sr Hidha SD (educational Counsellor).
