we provide financial support for medical treatment, job training, and educational scholarships, coupled with regular home visits and assessments to ensure the continuous well-being and progress of beneficiaries.
we enable seniors to connect and engage, we assist in forming Elderly Self Help Groups (ESHGs) that offer activities tailored to their interests, from health awareness sessions to recreational outings and interest-free loans. We also have Pakal Veedu (day care centers) to provide seniors with a nurturing environment, social interaction, and essential services.
From tailoring to tech, we offer skill-building programs relevant to local and market needs, paired with financial assistance for underprivileged women to launch their careers. Our partnerships with Suhruth Loom Arts and Marian Tailoring Centre provide additional job opportunities for women, empowering them through skill development and economic independence.
Through education, mentorship, and access to resources, we empower children and youth to reach their full potential in areas like academics, leadership, and social responsibility. Our initiatives, including Take Right Turn for Life, Kootu, Mango Showers, Kutticom, and Swanthanam, provide comprehensive support to help young people thrive.
we offer Abhyudaya- a comprehensive welfare program specifically designed to uplift and empower tribal groups. By prioritizing health and wellness, knowledge dissemination, and skill enhancement, we aim to equip tribal communities with the tools necessary to achieve a higher quality of life, increased self-reliance, and greater participation in the mainstream development process.
Established in 1978, it’s more than just a center; it’s a testament to the enduring legacy of service and compassion. Rooted in the noble mission of the Sisters of the Destitute, a pioneering women’s religious congregation founded in 1927, ASDSS embodies the values of inclusivity and empowerment.
The Sisters of the Destitute, true to their name, were the first in Kerala to embrace the care of the marginalized, transcending societal barriers of caste, creed, and community. This spirit of inclusivity forms the bedrock of ASDSS, guiding its work with the less privileged.
ASDSS goes beyond simply coordinating community development programs. It actively strives for the betterment of all people, regardless of their social or communal background. This holistic approach ensures that its impact is far-reaching and transformative.
The organization focuses on various key areas: Education, Health, Senior Citizens Care, Gender Equality and Women Empowerment, Child & Youth Development, differently abled, Livelihoods and tribal welfare. Through these interconnected initiatives, ASDSS weaves a tapestry of hope, lifting individuals and communities out of poverty and hardship.
ASDSS's commitment to social justice and positive change is an inspiration to us all. Their success speaks volumes about the power of collective action and unwavering dedication. Join hands with them, either through volunteering, donations, or simply spreading awareness. Together, we can create a world where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

"Driven by faith, ASDSS has flourished for decades, welcoming all in need. Its inception under the Second Vatican Council's call reflects its enduring spirit. Witnessing God's blessings and countless lives touched fills me with immense gratitude. Now, we celebrate, learn, and recommit to serving as a beacon of Divine Mercy, forever grateful for all who've been part of this inspiring journey"
"Suhruth Sadan shines by empowering all its sisters to serve better, together. This united front amplifies our reach, bringing compassion to more doors. Deepest gratitude to Sr. Divya Mundackal SD, Sr. Ancy Maniyamkottu SD the community, and staff - your dedication humbles me. You are all testaments to mercy's endless flow. With Jesus, let's continue our journey hand-in-hand, serving those most in need"
Joining "Shanti" ESHG, a group for those over 55, filled my life with newfound joy and connection. Since our start in August 2022 through the Nirav Project, ASDSS has provided countless opportunities for us to gather, share, and feel truly part of a supportive community. ASDSS facilitated access to interest-free loans, helping us fulfil immediate needs and alleviating financial worries. We are no longer isolated; we are "Shanti," a community thriving thanks to ASDSS's dedication.
Joining 'Koottu' during lockdown was life-changing! Isolated and withdrawn, I found connection and purpose through their environmental work. I learned about the dangers of drugs, participated in anti-drug rallies, and even gained awareness about phone addiction. Most importantly, "Koottu" helped me overcome my fears and build confidence. I'm forever grateful for this impactful experience!
